Our story
Giti Thai was founded by JeRome, a man with humble beginnings and an unwavering belief that good food and genuine hospitality can transform a neighborhood. Planting roots on West Slauson Avenue, he set out to create a place where everyone regardless of background, dietary needs, or occasion — could feel truly at home.
What started as a passion project quickly became a community institution. Word spread, loyal regulars multiplied, and Giti Thai evolved from a neighborhood Thai spot into one of LA's most talked-about hidden gems — celebrated not just for its food, but for the warmth behind every plate.
Our food promise
At Giti Thai, we take our food seriously. Every protein on our menu is Halal-certified, every vegetable is sourced fresh, and every dish is cooked to order — no heat lamps, no shortcuts. We use organic offerings wherever possible because we believe the quality of what goes in determines the quality of what comes out.
We also refuse to "dumb down" our recipes. You'll find bold lemongrass broths, complex curry pastes, and house-made sauces — including our signature Sexy Sauce — that you simply won't find anywhere else. This is authentic Thai cooking, done with pride.
